Sipadan Island, Sabah,Malaysia. Sipadan Island is famous for its scuba diving, the Sharks, Turtles, Barracuda's and teaming marine life, the diversity is awesome. All resorts are now closed on the Island. The closest resort accomodation is now on Mabul Island, 10 min's away, other accomodation can be found on Kapalai, again 10 min's away. When diving Sipadan, Mabul and Kapalai we allways stay on Seaventures Dive Platform. |

1. Bumphead Parrot Fish. Camera = Sony P1. We saw schools of Bumpheads, there were 20 to 30 of them all swimming slowly, These are BIG fish. |
2. Janet & Turtle. Camera = Sony P1 On Sipadan Island there are more Turtles than you can shake a stick at. On our first dive there we started to count them but soon gave up. |
3. White Tip. Camera = Video. This White Tip came cruising right past my head, like the Turtles, there are Sharks everywhere on Sipadan. |

4. Turtle. Camera = Video. This Turtle was very inquisitive, i think he could see his reflection in the camera lens. |
5. Sipadan Island. Camera = Video. This is October 2004, in December 04 all resorts were removed from the Island and divers are no longer allowed on there. Jan & David top right, Marshall & me bottom right. |
6. Jacks. Camera = Sony P1. There were countless Jacks on Sipadan, all schooling in a great mass of fish, swimming into them would make them part and allow you to swim inside them, fantastic. |

Turtle Skull, Turtle Cavern. Camera = SonyP1. Skeletal
remains of a Turtle, probably drowned when they lost there way in the
Cavern, It is very big in here and not for those that suffer from claustrophobia, be well prepared |
8.
Janet & Turtle. Camera
= SonyP1. Another shot of Janet with a Turtle, sometimes you would see them in groups of two or three, resting or eating. |
9. White Tip. Camera = Sony P1.Most of the Sharks we saw on Sipadan were reef Sharks, usually resting on the bottom. They are, in our experience non aggressive creatures, like most creatures they need their own space and will swim away when approached. It pays NOT to get complacent about any wild animals. |
